Cuisine packs

Register conventional cookie labels or opt into food-themed locale variants.

Locale packs are optional modules. Each one contains conventional cookie labels, cuisine variants, and a default variant. The core package never assumes a locale exists.

Initial packs

LocaleVariants
fr-FRcroissant, baguette, fromage, macaron, all
pt-BRpao-de-queijo, brigadeiro, coxinha, acai, all
en-GBbiscuit, scone, tea, crumpet, all

Select a focused variant

createConsentCuisine({
  locale: "pt-BR",
  cuisine: "brigadeiro",
  locales: [ptBR]
});

Use cuisine: true to resolve the pack's defaultCuisine, which is all for the initial packs.

Use conventional labels

Turn cuisine copy off without changing the locale or the stored consent record.

createConsentCuisine({
  locale: "fr-FR",
  cuisine: false,
  locales: [frFR]
});

Add a locale

A locale implements CuisineLocale: a locale code, conventional category copy, cuisine variants, and optionally a default variant. Add the module to your locales array; there is no central registry to edit in the core package.

const customLocale = {
  locale: "en-AU",
  cookies: {
    necessary: { label: "Necessary cookies", description: "Required for the site to work." }
  },
  cuisines: {},
  defaultCuisine: undefined
};

Missing category copy safely falls back to the technical category ID.
